Welcome to FLDOE HUB Business Intelligence (BI) Portal
The mission of the FLDOE HUB BI is to provide stakeholders in public education - including, but not limited to, administrators, educators, parents, students, state leadership, and professional organizations - with the capability of receiving timely, efficient, consistent responses to inquiries into Florida's kindergarten through university education.
What is FLDOE HUB BI Portal
The Sunshine Connections Portal is a comprehensive initiative to provide a single pathway to the information maintained in the Integrated Education Data Systems (IEDS).
What is the Integrated Education Data System (IEDS)?
The IEDS consist of the Education Data Warehouse (EDW) and the Florida Education and Training Placement Information Program (FETPIP).
What is the Education Data warehouse (EDW)?
The EDW integrates existing data extracted from multiple source systems that are available at the state level. It provides a single repository of data concerning students served in the K-20 public education system. Benefits of the EDW include, but are not limited to:
- Providing capabilities to track students over time and across delivery systems.
- Providing capabilities to perform trend analysis.
- Allowing business users to run their own queries against summarized data in a timely, efficient manner.
- Providing decision-makers with tools and information necessary to make informed, data-driven decisions about education.
Currently, the EDW stores student demographics, enrollment, course, test scores, financial aid, awards, and employment information. Additionally, the EDW contains educational curriculum, educational institutions, staff demographics, certifications, and instructional activities.

What is the Florida Education and Training Placement Program (FETPIP)?
The Florida Education and Training Placement Information Program (FETPIP) is a data collection and consumer reporting system established by Florida Statutes Section 1008.39 to provide follow-up data on former students and program participants who have graduated, exited or completed a public education or training program within the State of Florida. The statute requires all elements of Florida’s workforce development system to use information provided through FETPIP, for any project they may conduct requiring automated matching of administrative records for follow-up purposes.
A major goal of Florida’s K-20 Education system is to improve employment and earnings outcomes for all students. This information is part of the performance accountability processes for all parts of the K-20 system and serves as an indicator of student achievement and program needs. It helps educators and parents better prepare and counsel students for success in their future education or career choices.
